Did you know? CMF's first speakers look like milk cartons, and you can 3D print your own parts

If you spotted this on a friend's desk, you might think they bought milk. It's actually a Bluetooth speaker. CMF by Nothing has just launched Speaker S and Speaker M, the brand's first speakers, with a design inspired by retro milk cartons.

And it's not just a cute look. The panels are swappable, and CMF is sharing 3D design files so you can print your own accessories.

Both models launched globally on 12 October 2026, in four colours: white, dark grey, orange and turquoise.

  • Speaker S is pocket-sized. It stands upright or clips onto a backpack strap, and weighs about 334g.
  • Speaker M is bigger, with a built-in carry handle on top. It weighs 602g.

The shape really does look like a milk carton, complete with a "cap" on top. Odd, but easy to spot on a shelf.

The 18-hour battery figure is CMF's estimate at 50% volume with Ultra Bass mode. A 10-minute charge gives about an hour of playback.

Waterproof to 1.5 metres

With IP68, CMF says the speakers can survive being submerged in fresh water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes (lab tested). So a poolside session or a rainy picnic shouldn't be a worry.

Did you know? These are the first speakers CMF has ever made. Until now, Nothing's sub-brand was better known for earbuds, smartwatches and budget phones.

Customise it and 3D print your own

This is the most interesting part. The front panel and volume knob are swappable. CMF will also share official 3D design files, so anyone with a 3D printer can make their own accessories. Your speaker, your style.

Other useful features

  • Party Mode uses Auracast to link several speakers, and Stereo Mode pairs two units.
  • USB-C Audio with latency under 60ms, handy for videos and games.
  • Connect to two devices at once, such as a phone and a laptop.
  • NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair.
  • The Nothing X app switches between Ultra Bass and Wide Soundstage modes.

When is it coming to Malaysia?

CMF has confirmed that Speaker S and Speaker M will be sold in Malaysia, but a local launch date hasn't been announced yet. We'll update this once official details are out.

Which would you pick: the small, cute Speaker S, or the bassier Speaker M?
